Motivation

In the world of global economy, the centres of higher education institutions and regional enterprises are transforming to the forums of new knowledge and learning.

In the field of research on innovations, the higher education institutions have traditionally been dissected as communities of knowledge and know-how, which have an essential role in the process of producing and disseminating new knowledge and innovations.

Cooperation with the organisations of working life is crucial in order to succeed in this task. This is implemented by field-specific and concrete projects in cooperation with other partners.

CIP WorkLab aims at promoting the working life organisations’ and higher education institutions’ ability to regenerate their actions by combining the practical work and the development of the expertise.

The aim is to support developing the contents and pedagogical strategies of the degree programmes of library and information services in higher educational institutions. In addition the project aims to create new service concepts to assist working life information professionals and SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises) in their information related competences.
